A Dhaka court on Saturday sent four people arrested over the attack, vandalism and looting at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur to jail.
Shah Ali police station Sub-Inspector Md Atowar Rahman, also the case investigating officer, produced the accused before the court and sought an order to keep them in jail.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Siddique Azad granted the application and ordered that the four be sent to jail.
The accused are Md Sohel, 22, Md Jewel, 23, Md Jihad Hasan, 21, and Md Rabbi, 20.
Sub-Inspector Lutfur Rahman of the prosecution department confirmed the matter and said no bail application was filed on behalf of the accused.
According to the investigating officer's application, the 4 accused admitted involvement in the incident during questioning. Information was also obtained from them about their participation in the attack in exchange for money.
However, they are not residents of the Shah Ali police station area, so their names and addresses could not be verified immediately.
The application further said the accused could obstruct the investigation if released on bail and there was a possibility of them going into hiding. It therefore sought to keep them in jail until completion of the investigation.
