Five employees of the Supreme Court’s High Court Division have been dismissed for disciplinary violations, while the salary of a bench officer has been suspended for remaining absent from work without permission.
The decisions were disclosed in separate office orders issued by the court administration and published on the Supreme Court’s website on Wednesday.
According to one of the orders, Md Akram Hossain, who works in the First Appellate Division, has been suspended for remaining continuously absent from work since November 9, 2025.
Meanwhile, four MLSS employees — Md Asaduzzaman, Md Mehedi Hasan, Md Firoz Mia and Mosa Rukhsun Nisha — have been permanently dismissed after the allegations against them were proven in departmental proceedings.
The respective cases have also been disposed of, according to the orders.
In a separate order, the salary of Md Jamal Hossain Pradhan, a bench officer of the High Court Division, was suspended for remaining absent from work without permission from the appropriate authority.
