The High Court on Monday granted bail to Tamanna Jesmin Riva, president of the Eden Mohila College unit of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League, in a case filed over the anti-discrimination movement.
A High Court bench comprising Justice Md Atowar Rahman and Justice Md Sagir Hossain passed the order.
Deputy Attorney General Md Badiuzzaman Tofadar confirmed the matter.
Riva went into hiding after leaving the campus during the July Uprising and had not appeared in public since. She was detained on the night of December 16, 2024, and later shown arrested in a case related to the anti-discrimination movement.
