The hacked Facebook and WhatsApp accounts of International Crimes Tribunal-1 Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder have been recovered.
Special Investigation Officer and Prosecutor Tanvir Hasan Joha of the tribunal confirmed the development on Wednesday.
“We officially recovered the chairman’s personal Facebook and WhatsApp accounts on Tuesday night. However, no one involved in the incident has been arrested yet,” he said.
Earlier, a general diary (GD) was filed with Shahbagh Police Station on March 24 regarding the hacking incident.
According to the GD, the chairman’s personal accounts were hacked on March 18, raising concerns that the perpetrators could misuse them for criminal activities.
A letter was also sent to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), seeking necessary action over the matter.
