Two chamber courts have been formed to dispose of urgent cases during the vacation period of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
The court’s vacation will run from Sunday to April 16. During this period, Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has constituted two chamber courts to hear urgent matters related to cases in the Appellate Division.
A notice in this regard was issued on Thursday by the Appellate Division.
According to the notice, Justice SM Emdadul Hoque will sit in the Appellate Division’s chamber court on Sunday, Monday, 30 and 31 from 11am. During this time, he will hear urgent matters related to Appellate Division cases and pass necessary orders.
Meanwhile, Justice Mohammad Rezaul Haque will sit in the chamber court on April 7, 8, 15 and 16 from 11am to hear and dispose of urgent matters related to cases.
The notice added that such chamber courts are usually formed during the Supreme Court’s vacation period to ensure the prompt disposal of urgent legal matters.
