A travel ban has been imposed by the court on former member of parliament Abdus Sobhan Golap, former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank Sitangshu Kumar Sur (SK Sur) along with his wife Suparna Sur Chowdhury, and their daughter Nandita Sur Chowdhury.
The court also issued a travel ban for Ujjol Mallik, chief engineer of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk).
On Wednesday, the order was given by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Asasmozzaman Jaglul Hossain in response to a request from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The ACC's Assistant Director (Prosecution) Aminul Islam confirmed this information.
The travel ban was sought during the ongoing investigation of the case. Prosecutors Mir Ahmad Ali Salam and Mahmood Hossain Jahangir represented the ACC during the hearing. Following the hearing, the court granted the application.
