Former law minister Anisul Huq has claimed in court that both he and Salman F Rahman supported the recent quota reform movement.
During a remand hearing in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury’s court on Thursday, Anisul also said he was innocent, appealing for justice.
"Both Salman F Rahman and I were in favour of the quota reform movement. We were unaware of the incident. I am innocent and seek justice from the court."
The court later granted law enforcement five days to question Salman and Anisul in custody, the duo’s fourth time on remand, in a case filed over the shooting death of a youth in Badda during the student movement.
