According to the case, a group of protesters tried to stage demonstrations against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of Baitul Mukarram Mosque after the Jummah prayers on March 26 last year.

Police charged them with batons and lobbed tear shells after which protesters threw bricks at the law enforcers.

A case was filed with Paltan police following which Parwar was arrested.
