The High Court has ordered authorities to file the report by the probe panel formed to investigate the deaths of 13 animals in the Gazipur safari park.
The court’s order came on Sunday after the hearing of a public interest litigation petition filed by a Supreme Court lawyer.

The inquiry committee has been told to file its report through the attorney general’s office as soon as possible.
The court also issued a rule asking why the negligence of safari park officials will not be blamed for the deaths.

As many as 11 zebras, a tiger and a lion have died in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park since January 2 this year.
The ministry of forest, environment and climate change has formed an investigation committee to look into the matter.
