The Appellate Division has upheld the High Court's order for staying the trial proceedings of another four sabotage cases against former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia filed.
A full bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, passed the order on Sunday after hearing the state's appeal.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam stood for the state, while Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon represented Khaleda Zia.

In May of 2017, High Court bench of Justice Miftah Uddin Chowdhury and Justice ANM Bashirullah stayed four cases filed with Jatrabari and Darussalam Police stations against Khaleda Zia on charges of sabotage.
On August 17 this year, the Appellate Division upheld the High Court's order on staying the trial proceedings of those four sabotage cases against Khaleda Zia.
