The paper-book in the case over the horrific Holey Artisan Bakery terror attack is finally ready for the hearing on death references of the convicts in the High Court.
According to the Supreme Court administration, the paper-book arrived from the Bangladesh Government Press on Sunday after a long wait. Supreme Court Special Officer Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday.
A paper-book records all the details of a case and trial proceedings, including verdicts, statements, evidence and other documents. A paper-book is necessary for the High Court to hear and dispose of a death reference or appeal.

The chief justice will now send the death references to a High Court bench for hearing and disposal.
On November 27 last year, A Dhaka court delivered the verdict in the Holey Artisan Bakery attack case, sentencing seven New JMB militants to death and acquitting one of all charges.
On July 1, 2016, a group of militants attacked the Holey Artisan Bakery restaurant and killed 23 people, including 17 foreigners and two police officers. The carnage ended when a team of army commandos stormed the restaurant in Gulshan and shot the five attackers dead the next day.
The seven people condemned to death for their involvement in the incident are: Md Aslam Hossain alias Rashed alias Ryash, Jahangir Hossain alias Rajib Gandhi, Abdus Sabur Khan alias Sohel Mahfuz, Hadisur Rahman Sagor, Rakibul Islam Regan, Shariful Islam Khaled, and Mamunur Rashid Ripon.
They have also been fined Tk50,000 each.
