The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday approved general holiday for all the employees and staff members who reside in red zone areas amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
It issued a notice signed by the Registrar General Md Ali Akbar in this regard, reports UNB.
The court employees of the areas designated as red zones will get general holiday but they cannot leave or move from their current accommodation, the notice said.
More than one magistrate will be working to operate emergency cases at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Courts and Metropolitan Magistrate Courts at the district level.
The order will remain in effect until further notice, the release added.
On Saturday, some areas of the country were marked as “red zones” to contain further spread of coronavirus.
