Arrest warrants issued against 6 alleged razakars

International Crimes Tribunal has issued arrest warrants against six alleged razakars from Mymensingh for their involvement in crimes committed during the 1971 Liberation War.
The three-member tribunal led by Justice Anwarul Huque passed the order on Thursday.
The tribunal's prosecution submitted formal charges against 11 collaborators, including the six fugitives, on Wednesday.
According to the charges, the accused were involved in the killing of four people and the torture of nine, and in looting, arson and abductions in Mymensingh area during the war.
The five accused now in jail are Md Rois Uddin Azadi, 74, Mohammad Abdul Malek Akand, 68, Abul Kalam, 65, Khalilur Rahman Mir, 62, and Mohammad Abdullah, 62.
The tribunal's investigators launched the probe on October 16, 2014 over the murders of Liberation War organisers Sahabuddin and Joidhar Khan alias Taru, and freedom fighters Nur Hossain and Toiab Ali.
