A Dhaka court has set June 18 as the deadline by which to submit a probe report in the case lodged over the murder of Islamic scholar and TV personality Mawlana Nurul Islam Faruqi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devbrata Biswas set the date on Thursday, as the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had failed to submit the report.
Faruqi was murdered at his Razabazar home in Dhaka on August 27, 2014.
Later, his son Foysal Faruqi lodged the case against eight-to-ten unidentified miscreants with Sher-E-Bangla Nagar police station.
