A Dhaka court has set June 13 to submit reports on probes into four cases, filed over the violence that took place during the quota reform movement in April 2018, at Dhaka University (DU).
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jasim Uddin, on Monday, set the new date as the concerned investigation officer failed to submit the reports today.
According to the case documents, hundreds of agitated people broke into the official residence of DU vice chancellor around 1am on April 8, 2018.
They broke the main door of the complex and vandalized everything they found in front of them. They set a couple of vehicles and motorbikes, in and around the complex, on fire.
DU chief security officer, on April 10, filed a case with Shahbagh police station over the destruction.

Another case was filed over the torching of a motorbike of a member of Special Branch (SB) of Police.
The other two cases were filed, also by police, for snatching their walkie-talkie and destruction.
So far, police have arrested four accused in the cases. They are: Rakibul Hasan, Ali Hossain Sheikh, Masud Alam, and Abu Sayeed Fazle Rabbi.
Students and job-seekers began protesting against the quota system, demanding it be reformed, in mid-February last year.
After months of protests, the government formed a quota committee as per the Prime Minister's directives.
On October 5, the government published a gazette on scrapping the much-talked-about quota system for class I and class II jobs in public service.
