A writ petition has been filed in the High Court, seeking directives on a legal notice sent to former ministers, cabinet members, and secretaries to leave their government residences.
Barrister M Human Kabir Pallob, accompanied by four other lawyers, filed the writ with the related section of the High Court on Tuesday.
The speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, the principal secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Directorate of Government Accommodation are the respondents for this writ.

The respondents will have to take necessary action to vacate government-allocated residences presently used by former ministers, cabinet members, and secretaries.
Previously, on Monday, a legal notice was sent to the respondents to take necessary action in this regard within 24 hours. However, action has yet to be taken by the respondents as the deadline ended on Tuesday.
