The investigation report submission in the murder case of Xulhaz Mannan and his friend Mahbub Rabbi Tonoy has been deferred for the 34th time.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ziaur Rahman fixed April 16 to file the probe report after the investigation officer failed to report it on Tuesday, court police's Constable Mujibur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
On January 15, one of the prime suspects was arrested in Tongi, Gazipur.

On July 22, 2018, another suspect, Sheikh Abdullah—with aliases Jubair, Zayed, Zabed, and Abu Omayer—was arrested over the killings.
On April 25, 2016, Xulhaz, a LGBT activist and a local employee of USAID and his friend, a theatre activist, Mahbub Tonoy were hacked to death by miscreants at the former’s Kalabagan residence in the capital.

On the next day, Minhaz Mannan Emon, brother of Xulhas, lodged a murder case with Kalabagan police station while Kalabagan police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Shameem filed an arms case.
Detective Branch Inspector Bahauddin Faruqui is investigating the murder case while Inspector Nurul Afsar is probing the arms case.
