Khilgaon RAB check post attack: Probe report on May 8

A Dhaka court has fixed May 8 for the submission of a probe report in a case filed over the attack at a check post of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Khilgaon. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque fixed the date on Sunday, as the investigating officer of the case failed to submit the report in time. Khilgaon police station General Registrar Ashraf Islam (Sub-Inspector) briefed journalists on the matter. On March 18, 2017, a terrorist riding a motorcycle attacked the Khilgaon RAB check post at around 4am, injuring two RAB officers. The motorcycle rider, who was shot dead by RAB members after failing to heed a check post in Dhaka’s Khilgaon, was later found to be carrying two bombs. RAB 3 Deputy Assistant Director Kazi Hasanuzzaman filed a case with Khilgaon police station regarding the matter. This article was first published on banglatribune.com
