The court has rescheduled the submission date for the Avijit murder case investigation report to March 15.
The report was due for submission on Tuesday, February 13, but Counter Terrorsim Unit official Monirul Islam, the investigation officer of the case, failed to submit the report on the day. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nobi then set the new date for submission, Shahbagh police station General Registration Officer Sub-Inspector Mahmudur told the Dhaka Tribune.
On February 26, 2015, Avijit Roy, a former Buet teacher and founder of Mukto-Mona blog, was hacked to death by unidentified assailants near the Bangla Academy, when he and his wife Rafida Ahmed Bonya were returning from the Ekushey Book Fair.
