The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will investigate former Gopalganj-2 MP Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim over alleged corruption in tenders worth Tk1,300 crore.
ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhtar Hossain shared this information during a regular briefing on Sunday.
Sheikh Selim is accused of abusing his power and engaging in irregularities by taking a 10-15% commission from preferred contractors in various government tenders across the country.
The ACC has decided to launch an investigation into these allegations, Akhtar confirmed.
