The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), in collaboration with the Office of Faculty Research (OFR) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), concluded a four-day faculty development training on artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching on Thursday at the university's permanent campus.
The final session was facilitated by Professor Nafees Mansoor, PhD.
The session explored the transformative role of AI in academic research, with Professor Mansoor demonstrating how the technology can serve as a research co-pilot throughout the scholarly process.
Emphasizing the growing accessibility of AI-powered research tools, he said: “Artificial intelligence has democratized research. Everyone can now conduct research.”
Participants were introduced to AI research toolkits and practical applications of AI in manuscript drafting, literature review, idea generation, and research organization.
Through demonstrations and interactive discussions, the session highlighted strategies for integrating AI responsibly into research workflows while upholding academic integrity and critical thinking.
The training concluded with ULAB reaffirming its commitment to equipping faculty members with emerging digital competencies and promoting innovative, technology-enhanced teaching and research practices.
