Dhaka University appointed Md Israfil Prang, associate professor of the Graphic Design Department, as its acting proctor on Sunday.
Vice-Chancellor A B M Obaydul Islam conferred the appointment.
The appointment letter asked him to carry out the duties and procedures of the proctor in line with the rules and regulations set out in Chapter 11 of the Dhaka University Calendar, Part-2 (1997).
