American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) hosted a special event titled “Let’s Talk with the UNDP Resident Representative” at its campus, featuring UNDP Resident Representative Stefan Liller.
The event held on April 9, themed “Partners for Progress: Exploring UNDP and Bangladesh’s Evolving Collaboration Through the Eyes of Youth,” brought together AIUB’s Young Future Leaders for an interactive roundtable discussion. Students and faculty members from various departments participated in the session.
Key topics discussed included Youth and SDGs, Climate Action and Green Investment, and Democracy, Rights and Gender Equality.
Md Abdul Quayyum, head of Communications at UNDP Bangladesh, was also present.
The event was attended by the university’s top leadership, including Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam; Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman; Registrar Gp. Capt. (Retd.) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan; Proctor Prof. Dr. S.A.M. Manzur H. Khan; and Prof. Dr. Farheen Hassan of AIUB.
During an official meeting with the UNDP Resident Representative, both sides discussed key areas for future collaboration between AIUB and UNDP.
The AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) honored Stefan Liller with a special cultural performance.
The event highlighted AIUB’s ongoing commitment to fostering global academic relations and providing a platform for youth engagement in international cooperation.
