Army will be deployed for four days during the city corporation elections in Dhaka and Chittagong.
Election Commissioner Shahnewaz told journalists at the Election Commission office in the capital’s Agargaon on Tuesday.
Shahnewaz said: “The army will be deployed from April 26 to April 29 in the three city corporation elections.”
However, he didn't mention how many army personnel would be deployed in that time.
The elections to the Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Chittagong City Corporation are scheduled to be held on April 28.
