A schoolboy has been killed and his classmate injured in a road accident in Ojilabo area of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur on Monday.
The deceased Mahfuzur Rahman, 12, was a student of class VI at Alhaj Nayab Ali Model High School.
The inured Al-Amin, 12, is undergoing treatment at Mawna Al Hera Hospital.
Sreepur model police station Sub-Inspector Al Amin said Mahfuzur died on the spot as a human hauler hit the victims when they were returning to their homes from the school.
Locals put barricade on the road and set the vehicle on fire after the incident.
A team of police went to the spot and took the situation under control.
