The railway communications between Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Noakhali has resumed after a two and half hour-long frantic effort by railway officials on Saturday night.
Brahmanbaria railway station Loco shed-in -Charge Mohosin Uddin endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “The rail communication resumed around 7.45 pm after a two and half hour-long rescue operation by railway officials .”
Earlier, the rail communication remained shut due to derailment of a train's bogy in Paghachang-Chandpur area in Brahmanbaria sadar upazila.
Md Mainul Haque, assistant station master of Brahmanbaria railway station, said four wheels of a Dhaka bound train from Chittagong derailed around 5:15pm.
