Rail communication between Dhaka and Kishoreganj has been restored after three hours.
Earlier in the day, the rail communication cut off when the engine of a train derailed near Bhairab's Jaghannathpur area on Friday morning.
The engine of the Kishoreganj-bound Egersindur Probhati from Dhaka derailed near Jaghannathpur area around 11am, halting the rail service on the route.
Bhairab Rail Station Master Khalilur Rahman said: “The rail communications on the route resumed around 2pm after a rescue train came from Akhaura.”
