Six people have been killed and eight others injured in a collision between a three-wheeler and a truck in Doriarpar area on Dhaka-Barisal highway.
The deceased are Swapan Das, Amirunnesa, Shohrab Hossain, Altaf Hossain, Parul Begum and Mamunur Rashid Ridoy.
Airport police station Sub-Inspector Habibur Rahman said: “Three of them died on the spot in the accident that took place around 9:10am Thursday.”
Protik Kumar, another Sub-Inspector of the police station, said: “Three of them died while the injured were being taken to Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital.”
