A visitor has lost his hand as a tiger attacked him at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Shripur of Gazipur.
The victim was identified as Ankan, 26.
Shibu Prasad Bhattachaira, an official of the safari park range, said a tiger bite the left hand of Ankan when he entered the hand through a gap of the net over a boundary wall in the park's tiger area around 1:30pm.
The hand got cut off as some other visitors tried to rescue him from the tiger's chew, he said.
The victim was rushed to local hospital, he added.
