A woman and her son have been killed as a bus rammed a rickshaw carrying them in front of Matuail Medical in capital's Jatrabari area.
The deceased are Shakila Israt Jhumur, 30, and her son Amin, 6.
Jhumur's daughter Rita, 9, was also injured in the accident that took place on Friday morning.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Sentu Chondro Das said the duty doctor declared Jhumur and Amin dead they were brought to the hospital around 11:30am.
Meanwhile, Farida Yasmin, 33, has been killed and her husband Abdul Hashem injured as a truck knocked down their motorcycle in Demra's Amulia area around 9am.
ASI said Abdul has been admitted to the hospital.
