Biman resumes Dhaka-Sylhet flight after 3 years

Bangladesh Biman will resume internal (domestic) flights in Dhaka-Sylhet route on Monday, three years after it was closed. 

From now on, Biman's will operate a flight in the route everyday, the officials concerned told Dhaka Tribune.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon is scheduled to inaugurate the Dhaka-Sylhet Sylhet flight at 1:50pm on  Monday, according to a tour schedule sent Md Shafiqul Islam, deputy commissioner of Sylhet. 

Shahnawaz Majumder, Commercial In-Charge (Sales and Reservations) of Sylhet zone of Bangladesh Biman told the Dhaka Tribune that the Dhaka-Sylhet internal flight was canceled during the Hajj in September 2012 due to lack of aircrafts. 

Three years later, on Monday, it's going to be resumed, the official said.
