Five policemen have been injured as a van carrying the law enforcers turned turtle on Jhenaidah-Chuadanga highway.
The injured are Sub-Inspector Shahid, of Chuadanga district police, constables Nazmul, Dilip Kumar, Mohammad Saifulah and Masud Rana.
Jhenaidah police Sub-Inspector Ismail Hossain said: “The van of Chuadanga district police turned turtle when its tyre exploded near the relay centre of Bangladesh Television around 9pm on Monday .”
He said the injured policemen were taken to Jhenaidah General Hospital and given primary treatment.
“They returned to their workplace in Chuadanga after taking primary treatment at the hospital,” he added.
