A person, who sustained severe burn injuries in an arson attack in Magura, has succumbed to his injuries on way to a Dhaka hospital.
Roshwan Ali, 42, died around 2:30am on Sunday while being shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from Magura Sadar Hospital.
Dr Partha Shankar Pal, residential surgeon of the DMCH burn unit, said: “He received more than 90% burn injuries.”
Eight other victims were undergoing treatment at the burn unit of the hospital, he added.
Nine people sustained burn injuries as unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bomb at a truck on Magura-Jessore highway in Moghirdhal area under Magura sadar upazila on Saturday evening.
All the victims hailed from Malik village of Magura sadar upazila.
