Members of law enforcement agencies have detained 11 alleged saboteurs from different corners of the capital in last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Masudur Rahman confirmed this saying that the 11 detainees include an activist of Hizb-ut Tahrir, a militant organisation.
They were arrested for planning subversive activities during the BNP and Jamaat alliance enforced countrywide non-stop transport blockade that entered on the 75th consecutive day.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia enforced the blockade for an indefinite period on January 5 after having failed to come out of her Gulshan office to join a planned rally of the 20-party alliance in the city to mark "Democracy Killing Day".
Meanwhile, the transport blockade in road-rail-waterways is underway with keeping life almost normal.
