The High Court has fixed April 8 for the hearing of the writ petition filed over the disappearance of BNP Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed.
The High Court bench of Justice Quamrul Islam Siddiqui and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore fixed the date on Monday afternoon.
On Thursday, the HC bench asked the government and the law enforcers to explain why they should not be directed to find Salahuddin and bring him before it by Sunday.
The order came following a petition filed by the wife of the BNP leader.
Following the order, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Special Branch (SB) of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police Headquarters submitted reports to the attorney general's office on Sunday afternoon.
Salahuddin, who used to issue press releases from unknown places announcing hartals, remains missing since Tuesday night.
Police filed a general dairy with Uttara police station on Saturday over the disappearance of the BNP leader.
