Shahjahan: Govt won't bow to terrorism

The government would not bow to terrorism, Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan has said.

The minister uttered the warning while talking to the reporters after an unveiling of a book at Muktijoddha Auditorium in Madaripur on Sunday morning.

He said if we spare terrorism, it would engulf us.

“We would solve our problem ourselves, not according to the prescription of the foreigners,” he also said.

He said: “If the foreigners think that we should surrender to the terrorists, I would ask them why they fight against terrorist organisations like IS.”

At that time, district administrator Miazuddin Khan, police super Khandaker Faridul Islam were present, among others.

The minister later took part in the programmes organised marking the international women's day and the coordination meeting with the law enforcers.
