A van puller has been crushed under the wheels of a truck at Barek Building intersection area in Chittagong city.
The deceased was identified as Jaker Hossain, 35, hailing from Bhola, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Jakir Hossain of Bandar police station.
SI Jakir said the empty truck rammed the van from the behind in the area at around 12pm on Sunday when it was heading to Chittagong port. During the time, Jaker was crushed under the truck’s wheels and died on the spot.
Police detained the truck along with the trucker chasing the vehicle, said the SI.
