Customs intelligence officials have seized gold weighing above 18kg from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The officials recovered 161 gold bars after searching the bodies of two passengers on Wednesday morning.
Customs Intelligence's Director General Moinul Khan said Salahuddin and Abu Sayeed arrived in Dhaka on an Emirates airlines flight from Dubai at 9:30am.
He said the estimated price of the seized gold is around Tk 35lakh.
