The space opera “Jupiter Ascending”, starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum will begin screening from today at the Star Cineplex.
Directed by the Wachowski siblings, the film will be screened in 3D with four showtimes at 11:00am, 1:45pm, 4:30pm and 7:15pm.
Centered around Jupiter Jones, played by Kunis, a down-on-her-luck cleaning woman, and Caine Wise, an interplanetary warrior played by Tatum, the film depicts how Jones discovers that her destiny extends beyond Earth.
Douglas Booth, a supporting cast member, has described the film’s fictional universe as a cross between “The Matrix” and “Star Wars” franchises while Kunis named its underlying themes as indulgence and consumption. Other notables in the cast include Sean Bean and Eddie Redmayne.
The film’s release in Bangladesh comes just two weeks after it opened in North American theatres on February 6.
