Singer Baby Naznin was sent home immediately after she was picked from in front of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's office in the evening.
Sub-inspector Abdul Barek of Gulshan police said she was sent home in her own car by which she had come.
Earlier, the singer, also a leader of pro-BNP organization Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS), was picked up by the police when came to visit Khaleda Zia with food items around 7:30pm.
Shamsuddin Didar, an official of Khaleda's press wing, disclosed the information on Baby Naznin's detention by police to the Dhaka Tribune.
