A person has committed suicide after killing his wife at Monipur Moddhopara area under Gazipur sadar upazila.
The deceased are Monirul Islam, 40 and his wife Moyna Begum, 30 hailing from Chuadanga.
Being informed, police recovered the bodies from the spot around 9:30pm on Friday.
Hotapara police outpost ASI Harun-Ur–Rashid said: “Monirul might have committed suicide after suffocating his wife to death. The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.”
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur, added the ASI.
