A mobile court has sent a youth to jail for allegedly stalking a girl at Austagram upazila in Kishoreganj on Thursday.
The convicted is Junayed, 17, hailed from Kolapara village of the upazila.
Austagram OC Kamrul Islam Molla said Junayed was sent to jail by a mobile court led by executive magistrate Md Mohsin Uddin.
The court sentenced him one month rigorous imprisonment for stalking a girl in front of Austagram Model High School in the upazila.
Locals alleged that Junayed used to tease the class-nine student of the school for long.
On information, a police team rushed to the spot and caught the stalker from Sadar area and produced him before the mobile court, they said.
