Kate Winslet believes her divorces benefit her kids

Kate Winslet says she would change nothing about her personal life – including her two divorces – claiming that “it’s very important to teach your children to struggle on some level.”

The Oscar-winning actress, who has three children by three husbands, said she had turned all the “bad bits” into positive experiences. She wed Ned RocknRoll, the nephew of Sir Richard Branson, in 2012 and gave birth to their son, Bear, a year later.

Winslet also has a 14-year-old daughter, Mia, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton, and a son, Joe, 11, from her second marriage to Sam Mendes.

“I think it’s very important to teach your children to struggle on some level,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I would honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing. Even all the bad bits. It doesn’t matter how ----p times have been, they all matter, because those things shape who you are. And if you don’t like who you are, well, then you’re -------- really, aren’t you?”
