Police have arrested three persons with huge foreign currencies from Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj.
The arrestees are Samrat Mandol, 22, son of Sarowar Mandol, Jahid Mandol, 23, son of Hannan Mandol, Jahir Mandol, 23, son of late Mannan Mandol, all are hailed from Baliakandi upazila in Rajbari.
Kashiani OC Monirul Islam said police, on suspicion, detained them from Kalna Ferry terminal area around 7:30pm on Wednesday.
Police recovered US $54,900 and Canadian $20,000 from their possession, he added.
A case was lodged against them with the police station in this regard, the OC said.
