The driver and helper of a cavard van have been killed as the vehicle fell into a ditch after hitting a roadside tree on Dhaka –Chittagong highway near Jamaler Dokan area under Mirershorai upazila in Chittagong.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
Quoting the locals, Highway police outpost SI Farid Uddin said: “The driver of the cavard van lost his control over the steering and fell into a roadside ditch around 6:45am, leaving the two dead on the spot.”
Being informed, police recovered the bodies from the spot, said the official.
