A total of 11 books written by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been published in this year’s Ekushey book fair that she inaugurated yesterday.
Of those books, “Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita” (Sheikh Mujib my father) is a freshly written book and the remaining 10 are all second editions of previous publications.
All these books, published by the Agami Parakashani at different times since 1992, are now available at the stall of the publication house in the fair.
The other books are: Shada O Kalo; Ora Tokai Kano; Daridro Durikaran: Kichhu Chintabhabna; Shohe Naa Manobotar Abomanona; Bangladeshe Shairatantrer Jonmo Biponno Gonotontro Lanchhito Manobota; Living in Tears; People and Democracy; Amra Jonogoner Kotha Bolte Eshechi (a collection of speech delivered in parliament); and Bangladesh Jatiyo Sangshade Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The last one in the list is a collection of write-ups that the prime minister had jointly edited with late Baby Moudud.
The new book titled “Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita” is a autobiographical memoir by Sheikh Hasina. Many hiterto unknown incidents from the family life of Bangabandhu have been incorporated in the book, reports BSS.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Amar Ekushey Granthamela 2015 at the Bangla Academy premises on the Dhaka University campus in the capital yesterday afternoon.
