The Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) will stage countrywide rallies on February 8 protesting the ongoing political unrest in the country.
The decision was made in a meeting of FBCCI on Sunday evening, said FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed.
The businessmen will stand in front of the business organisations across the country carrying with national flags for 15 minutes starting from 12pm to 12:15pm.
After staging the rallies, they will submit memorandum to President Abdul Hamid, Opposition Leader in the parliament Rawshan Ershad and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, seeking a solution for the ongoing blockade, hartal.
