Lux-Channel i Superstar 2014 Nadia Afrin is set to appear in a Valentine’s Day special TV drama titled “Valentine Otopor Bhalobasha.” Directed by veteran film actor Parveen Sultana Diti, Nadia will play the role of Oishee.
“I am quite excited about working with Diti on this TV play; she is one of my favourite actors,” the Lux Channel i Superstar said.
Talking about the drama, she said: “Since the TV play is Valentine’s Day special, ‘Valentine Otopor Bhalobasha’ is a love story – with a few twists. My character Oishee is a university student, person full of life. She meets a man who is in love with her, but she feels hesitant to return his feelings. So, she stops seeing him and starts going out with another man, who proposes to her on the Valentine’s Day. But just before he proposes, Oishee learns that her boyfriend is actually married, so she rejects his proposal.”
However, Nadia is not one to stick to one particular genre. “It is a romance story, but I would like to work with different other stories and genres too,” she told the Dhaka Tribune.
Asked if she was looking to work in films, she said: “At the moment, I am not working in films because of my studies. I will wait for good scripts.”
The TV play will be aired on Valentine’s Day on Channel i.
