The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of Government MM College in Jessore have vandalised the Physics department and its laboratory for getting poor marks in the honours third year practical exam.
The incident took place around 11am on Tuesday, college Principal Shafiqur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.
However, there were no casualties in the incident, he added.
According to witnesses, honours third year practical examination results of the Physics department were published on Monday evening.
The BCL men got furious after getting poor marks in the exam. Later, some 30-35 students of BCL entered the Physics department at 11am and ransacked the department and its laboratory and left the campus immediately.
On information, college principal visited the college with police personnel.
Principal Rahman said: “Some outsides along with the college students are involved with the vandalism and they were not recognised.”
