A traffic sergeant has been killed after a police van rammed into a stationed pick-up van at Fokirhat area of Faujdarhat under Sitakunda upazila.
The deceased is Kabir Hossain, 40, in- charge of Faujdarhat police outpost and son of Abdul Khalek Majumder of Comilla.
Quoting the locals, Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost Nayek Shilbrata Barua said: “The police van carrying the law enforcers hit a stationed pick up van early Monday, leaving the five critically injured.”
Later, the injured were taken to the CMCH where the on duty doctor declared Kabir dead.
